THE HOUSE

PRESENTATION

Made of schist, with oak and chestnut framing and whitewashed wall plaster, the construction fits the typical Trás-os-Montes architecture. It has two floors and an interior yard and a balcony in the front elevation. The family and the other farm workers lived in the upper floor whilst the lower one was occupied by cattle, a cellar and a barn.

Nowadays the house has been restaured to rural tourism and offers 6 double bedrooms with private complete bathroom, a dining room and a living room with a bar and a small library dedicated mostly to books and magazines about nature and travel, art and photography albums, comics and children’s and youth literature.

Breakfast and, at the guests’ request, regional meals with homemade ingredientes, will be served in the dining room.

The hall, corridor, living room, library and dining room are decorated with antique, restored furniture. All rooms are equiped with central heating.

Outdoors, you may enjoy a biological swimming pool with a garden and picnic area.
